Main Gear
MLG: the main landing gear which is located under the inner wing and, in very large aircraft, under the centre fuselage. It consists of wheels mounted on axles connected by a boggie which is attached to the gear leg through a shock absorber. The gear is maintained rigid, retracted and extended by a series of struts, braces and actuators.
